LOCATION: 29310 Wilkinson Rd., Cuba City, WI. From Benton, WI go north on County J approximately one mile to Wilkinson Rd., Turn east to 2nd farm on left.

NOTE: Auction to be held under cover in case of inclement weather.

HERD NOTES: The Wallenhorst’s have decided to retire from milking as they have spent their entire married life of 32 years on this farm developing this herd.  They are currently selling an average of 78 lbs. of milk with a 4.1 BF & 3.1 Protein on a twice day milking in a sand bedded tie stall barn. 21-cows are giving over 90 lbs. with some cows giving up to 119 lbs. of milk. The SCC is approximately 150,000.  They are on a monthly herd health check with a sound vaccination program with Vet Associates, Hazel Green, WI.  They also do a monthly DHI test.

1st Lactation: 24,931; 990 Fat & 755 Protein,

2nd Lactation: 23,083; 915 Fat & 714 Protein;

3rd Lactation: 24,812, 932 Fat & 759 Protein.

ME: 24,371, 946 Fat & 746 Protein.  No TMR used. Cows are being fed mostly baleage, corn silage and dry hay.  They are left outside daily for heat detection and for more bunk and neck rail feeding.  100% AI bred using mainly Select Sire Bulls and mating service for 25+ years.  Bulls such as Fired-up, Alabama, Husky, Honor, Rigley, Bradnick, Branson, Fabio & Brennan have been used.  Over half of the cows are in their lst & 2nd lactation.  DHI & breeding information will be provided day of sale. Vaccination Program includes—-All dry cows were treated with Quartermaster & given Orbeseal.  Also each cow is vaccinated at dry off with Triangle 10HB, Scourgard 4KC & J-5.   At birth calves are given First Defense Trishield Inforce 3, at 3-4 mos.old  Bovishield Gold FP5L5, pre-breeding-Bovishield Gold FP5L5.  After three weeks fresh heifers get Triangle 10HB.  Plan now to attend this fine dairy cow auction.
