NOTE: After 45 years of dairy farming & 20 previous years with Mark’s dad the Goeke’s have decided to retire from dairying. They are presently shipping an approximate 65 lb. Average year around with heifers freshening in up to 80+lbs. A very young herd with nearly all 1st & 2nd lactating cows. There are 3-R&W cows & 1-R&W Heifer in this herd. There are 45 cows in lst lactation and 14 cows in their 2nd. The SCC is between 79,000 and 200,000 with a past year average of 164,000. Butterfat is 3.65. Cows are all AI bred mostly with Semex Bulls. Majority are polled using polled bulls for past eight years. Some bulls used are double polled. Cows are being milked in a parlor and are free stall adapted plus pastured. Cattle are vaccinated annually with BovaShield Gold. All calfhood vaccinated. The Goeke’s have been great dairymen. Quality, fancy uddered, large frame cattle with great genetics. This herd has great eye appeal that will go home and make top cows in anyone’s herd. The Goeke’s have done a great job in advancing this herd as years went by.
