70-HEAD of HIGH GRADE DAIRY COWS
- Â Â Â 20-Cows recently fresh, 8-dry & springing cows, some real close, balance in all stages
- Â Â Â Including 6-Blue Roan Cows, 1- R&W Holstein/Milking Shorthorn & some cows are carrying the red factor.
NOTE: After 55 years of dairying the Teutschmann’s have decided to sell their dairy herd.
Chris & Ruthann took over the herd from his dad and continued to AI totaling 65 years never using a bull. All Select Sire & Accelerated breeding. All home raised cattle. The last cow purchased was in 1965. A very nice herd milked in a stanchion barn. The SCC is 199,000 with 3.6 Protein & 3.83 BF. The winter time BF was 4.3. They are shipping a 65lbs. Average with individual cows giving over 100 lbs. 44-cows are in their lst & 2nd lactations. Cattle are vaccinated with Bovishield 5L5HB. A very nice handling herd. Chris was always careful in selecting his bulls with the best dairy characteristics always in mind. Sires and breeding information to be furnished on sale day. Cattle are bred for year around freshening. They daily exercise in pasture making for good feet and legs.
