REMARKS: After 40 years of milking and recent health issues along with the expansion of their custom baling service Jim has decided to retire from milking. This herd carries a 65# average with a 3.74 BF and a 3.23 protein. The SCC usually runs between 150,000-250,000. Most of the herd carries a red factor with 12 R&W, 7 linebackers, 6 Jerseys, some crossbreds & balance B&W Holstein. Heifers are R&W, crossbred with some linebackers. Cows are being milked in a stanchion barn, use to loose housing and are pastured daily. The Drafalls used Purebred R&W Holstein bulls for many years with all cattle now bred to Red Angus Bulls. A very nice selection of dairy cattle, something for everyone.
