HERD NOTES: Jeff has done a nice job growing this herd as to what it is today. Quality, large framed cattle w/capacity and genetics to burn. All heifers are well grown. A rare opportunity to purchase this kind of cattle. Bred for milk & dairy type. Note the number of excellent cows in this herd. 9-cows Classified Excellent with 30-Very Good & 22-Good Plus. An outstanding herd that is 100% AI bred & sired using Select Sires past 60 years. Sires include Gold Chip, Dempsey, Sanchez, Guthrie, Atwood, Bradnick, Diamondback & Million. Cows are being milked twice a day in comfort tie stalls and are use to free stalls. This herd peaked this summer at a 85lb average & has been as high as a 104 lb. Average with 26,051, 922F, 823P actual. Watch for cow “Horseradish” which peaked at 151 lbs. & classified at 89. 13-cows are giving 100-151 lbs. & 17-cows from 80-100lbs. of milk. There are 32 cows in their lst lactation with 28,125M, 1025F, 847P ME. 15-cows in their 2nd lactation with 27,471, 945F, 845P ME & 30-cows in their 3rd lactation with 26,019, 854F, 785P ME. 17-cows are giving over 40,000 lbs. Of milk. Top Cow gave 42,869 lbs. & is due sale day & classified at 85. The SCC past year ranged from 119-200,000. All but three cows are home raised. Ideal replacement cattle.
