LOCATION: 693 State Road 78, Mt.Horeb, Wisconsin. From Mt.Horeb, WI go south on Hwy. 78 app. 10 miles or from Blanchardville, WI go north on Hwy. 78 app. 8 miles to Sherven Rd., go west to farm.

 

 

 

 

59-Head of Milk Cows with 6-fresh last 30 days & 20-Cows fresh 30-90 days

10-Dry Cows with some close & due by sale day, Balance in all stages of lactation

3-Heifers due in September

2-Heifers, Shortbred

2-Heifers, 6-8 mos. Old

1-Heifer, 4 mos.Old

Heifers are large and well grown.

 

NOTES: Cattle have been AI bred and mated for three generations never having a bull. A Large framed, all home raised herd that are all AI bred presently using Select Sires.  Bulls used include Sertoli, Elsako, Rosko, Kingbird, Yoder plus some Beef Sires. 21-cows are in their first lactation.  Several cows are milking 70 to 100+lbs. 21,180ME, 1088F, 587P.  Ag Source avg is 5.18 BF and 3.02 Protein.  The current average SCC is 150,000 and has been as low as 50,000 and receiving awards.  Individual SCC will be posted at auction. Cows are being milked in a stanchion barn and tie stalls with sand.  They have absolutely not been pushed.  Feeding consists of balage, haylage and pasture.  All calfhood vaccinated. Up to date of on vaccinations and are dry treated. This herd has good feet and legs. They daily roam and graze the pasture on the hills of Mt. Horeb.
