HERD INFORMATION: The Clark’s have been dairy farming in the Monroe area for past several decades. A family operation working along side their daughter and son-in-law. They have decided to discontinue the dairy operation but plan to continue crop farming. Cows are 2 times/day parlor milked, bedded with sand and are use to head locks & free stalls. All B&W Holstein Cows with one-R&W & one-Brown Swiss/Holstein. AI Bred past 48+ years using ABS & Select Sires and currently using Alta Genetics and it shows. Herd sires used are Most Wanted, Real Quiet, Dursley, Tubular, SpeedSport & Apache plus a few Angus sires mixed in. These ladies have a 85lb. Average bulk tank weight and will peak over 90 lbs. of milk. Several cows giving over 100 lbs with one peaking at 170 lbs. The SCC average for the year was 90-122,000 with 3.79-4.24 BF & 2.9-3.29 Protein. Individual SCC & milk weights to be posted day of sale. Cattle to be pregnancy checked. Up to date on vaccinations and foot trimming. This herd is on a bi-monthly herd health check by Brodhead Vet Clinic. Dry Cows treated with Orbeseal & Spectramast. This is a top quality herd with great genetics. Cattle have plenty of legs under them with length and capacity to produce. Herd has been closely culled over the years so you are getting the cream of the crop. These are foundation cattle along with excellent udder support. Hard to find this quality in one package.
