LOCATION: 800 W. Elm Rd., Freeport, IL.  From Cedarville, IL head north on Hwy. 26 for appx. ½ mile, go east on Angle Rd. for about 100 ft. and go south on Elm Rd. to the first farm on the left.

 

HERD NOTES: This herd goes back to 1943 when John’s parents started and has been registered Brown Swiss ever since.  John & Wendy have AI bred cattle for over 50 years.  The Korth’s have shown at the local, state, and national level for many years. Cattle have been marketed not only in the Midwest, but all across the nation.  A great opportunity to acquire top genetic cattle along with excellent bloodlines and foundation.  This is a predominantly registered Swiss herd with a few Holstein and Holstein-Swiss Cross.  Cows have been treated and given Bovi-Shield Gold after calving.  Tie stall milked twice a day, and free stall & head lock adapted.  They are being TMR fed.  The SCC-150,000, BF-4.2, PR-3.5.  These ladies are averaging 65 lbs. a day.  Individual tests for SCC & milk weights to be posted.  Cows are on DHIA test and monthly herd check.  Overnight stay is welcome.

TRUCK: 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD Truck, 4WD, 4-door, comes with Moto metal rims – 285.55.R20, 6 1/2′ box with some rust, 249,776 miles, power windows, locks, & driver seat, radio currently does not work, over $5,000 spent on upkeep including new ball joints, u-joints, & brake pads all the way around, very clean interior, runs and drives good; 

TRAILER: 2024 Road Warrior Hydraulic Tilt Full Deck trailer, 22′ 2 5/16 ball, 14,000 lb./2-7,000 lb. axles, little use, very nice;
